PRODUCT REVIEW| MOISTURIZING SHAMPOO| WASH DAY(HAIR AT 20WEEKS POST RELAXER) + LENGTH CHECK

Hello Ladies,
Went to the market few weeks ago and bought a soap called Dudu Osun. Have been hearing good reviews on it and decided it was time I experimented on it if it would work fine on my hair.

The Product: Tropical Naturals Dudu Osun Black Soap

ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Dudu osun is the age-long African black soap made the traditional way by hand from Pure Natural Ingredients and Herbs from the tropical rainforest and Savannah regions.
- No artificial colors.
- No preservatives
- And it's biodegradable.

INGREDIENTS
- Pure Honey
- Sheabutter
- Osun(camwood)
- Palmkernel oil
- Cocoa pod ash
- Palm bunch ash
- Aloe vera
- Lime juice
- Water & fragrance.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THE PRODUCT
- It's a sulphate free shampoo
- It contains pure natural ingredients
- It can be used as a moisturizing shampoo
- Not costly and can easily be purchased
- I like the smell and the way it feels on my hair.

HOW I USED IT
Normally, what I do on my wash days are:
- detangle(a day before)
- prepoo
- shampoo
-tea rinse
- deep condition
- towel dry/air dry
-apply my leave-in conditioner, moisturizer & seal with olive oil.

But since it's a new product,I decided to just use it only in order to have a clear result of how it works.
-So,I detangled a day before,
-prepoo,put hair in box braids
-and shampoo alone and only with the Dudu Osun soap.
-then towel dry and later air dry
-apply leave-in conditioner, combed and that's all to my wash day.

HAIR UPDATE| WASH DAY| IMPROMPTU LENGTH CHECK

It's been close to 3weeks I last had my wash day. Shame on me! Couldn't take the itching any longer when it got to a point and I decided it is now or never because I don't want to have any setbacks whatsoever.

-prepoo with avocado oil and olive oil.

-put hair in box braid, shampoo with ORS clarifying shampoo.

-deep conditioned with ORS replenishing conditioner and Organics cholesterol tea-tree oil(the mixture)

-using the Green House Effect (GHE) to deep condition by first covering hair with shower cap and then wrap with towel

-after an hour(because I was feeling sleepy),I rinsed off the conditioner and towel dry(not completely)

-applied my leave-in conditioner and comb my hair(working in section)

-moisturized and then seal

HAIR UPDATE| FIRST BANTU KNOT OUTS EVER

Dear people, been a while. Hope y'all good? Lately, i've been lazy with my hair. I was loving my flat-ironed hair after my RELAXER UPDATE , when suddenly my hair started itching, couldn't take it anymore after a week and so i cowashed my hair. Ever since then, i've been moisturizing and sealing and also bunning which serves as my protective style.  But now i just wanted to try something different apart from bunning my hair, so i decided to give Bantu Knot Outs a try. I've been seeing people r

HAIR AT 26WEEKS POST RELAXER

Beautiful people,
I've missed you all. How are y'all doing & hope y'all good? For me, I've been busy with Exams and thank God i'll be through this week. Really can't wait.
Should have relaxed my hair 2weeks ago but i had no time. Now that my hair is 26weeks post relaxer,i'm seriously having issues with laying down my edges and to top it all, i haven't washed my hair for the past 2weeks & it's really itching me *covers face*
So,i said to myself.......It's now or never. And i did the following:
1. Detangled my hair section by section by using fingers & Goya Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Took me close to 2hrs to detangle, was tired & hungry afterwards and yes i couldn't wash my hair.
2. After that,i decided to stretch my hair using the banding method but i had no band,so i used Threading Method instead and tied my hair with a scarf. It wasn't neat though and how i slept with the four-horned Ram? Only God knows. But i got what i wanted the next day.
3. Next day, i removed the thread. Still working on the four sections,i applied my Leave-in Conditioner, Moisturizer and seal with Olive Oil.
4. Realised my hair was too puffy for my headband & didn't like it. What to do? Ghenghen!! I remembered i bought a gel not quite long. Permit me to explain.... I wanted Ecostyler Styling Gel so bad but i couldn't find it,so i opted for Sazzy Hair Dynamics Lite Gel Activator instead. This is the time to proof its worth. Lol! So i applied the gel to my hair, brushed it and tied a scarf to flatten it. I leave the judgement to you. Hehe!

MY FIRST EVER FLATTWIST OUT

This is absolutely a due post, forgive moi......*covers face*.  Remember i took off my braids and did a length check? Good! Well after that,i washed my hair; started with detangling, followed by pre-pooing,shampooing and deep conditioning my hair. Then, i air dried my hair and applied my leave-in conditioner, moisturizer and olive oil. And off to the dream world, i slept off. Lol!
Next day,i applied my heat protectant and flat ironed my hair in school, the guy that did it was just too good. Then,i two strand flattwisted my hair over night. Too bad i didn't take pictures. But don't you worry, i did the next day after untwisting my hair, i just applied my hair spray, olive oil and that's all. Check out my hair oooooo.

BRAIDS TAKEN DOWN | LENGTH CHECK | 21 WEEKS POST RELAXER

Hiya everyone, hope y'all good? Promised i was going to post on how to make coconut oil in my previous post. Too bad i couldn't. Had taken all the pictures step by step only to discover 2days ago that all the pictures had been deleted, including 250+ pictures. How on earth could this have happened? Why now when i needed it? Arrgghhh!!  Anyways,i believe in life everything happens for a reason. What if all my pictures had been wiped out? That would have been terrible. So...God i thank you. But hopefully before nextweek runs out, will try to make another coconut oil, take the pictures and post on how to make it.
Now guess what? I have taken down my braids. Remember i said i was gonna wear it for 1 and half  to 2months? It's now a month and i can't stand to see my hair suffer just because i want to over use my money, lol!  So, i decided to remove it. Best decision ever.
I've been wanting to do a length check all this while, now is the time. Check it out.

HOW I STYLE MY BRAIDS

Hello hairlevationistas,
Haha! Don't mind me o. Hope y'all had a lovely great day?  Mine was kind of dull in the beginning. Was indoor all through and i slept like i was never gonna wake up,glad i eventually did. All thanks to God. So when i woke up(it was evening by then), i decided it was time to make MY OWN COCONUT OIL.  Yes don't worry dear, will definitely post on that in few days time.
To cut the whole drama.....when it was 9pm,i took my phone, went through my photo gallery and bam! I saw pictures of how i had previously worn my braids out and i wanted to share... though i'm not that good in styling braids but I'm learning. *winks* Do enjoy!!!

PROTECTIVE STYLE- LOOSE BRAIDS

Lovelies,
Happy sunny day to y'all. I'm quite late posting this, was kindda busy. Since i'd be stretching my hair till july, i decided to braid my hair. Yea,this will serve as my protective style for now and i plan to keep it for 1 and half - 2months. (covers face.....no money o).  I used one big & small size expression..... color 2 precisely. I also made sure i washed my hair some days before braiding so as to ensure clean scalp. What i love most about this box braid?  It is loose and my hairline  not stressed unlike tight braids.  Check out some of the pictures i took below:

TEXLAXING

Hello ladies, how's it with you? Great I think. I was browsing one day when I came across TEXLAXING on a blog named Rehairducation owned by Lade. I didn't even know I was doing something similar to that. The only difference was I didn't apply oil to my relaxer when relaxing.
             What is Texlaxing?
This is the process of intentionally under processing your hair by the application Oil or conditioner to your relaxer, leaving your hair incompletely straightened.
    ADVANTAGES OF TEXLAXING
1. Less damage: The main reason i choose to texlax is the damage relaxing bone straight causes to my hair. I hate relaxing right from day 1. Why? Because my hair always  gets burnt,my head looking smaller like that of Agama lizard. So,texlaxed hair is less damaging because it's healthier than relaxed  hair due to the fact that the protein bonds present in the hair hasn't been completely broken down by relaxers.
2. Thicker & fuller hair: A bit of natural texture is achieved through texlaxing, thus ensuring thickness of the

4 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE STARTING A HEALTHY HAIR JOURNEY (HHJ)

Some of you might have heard about HHJ.Well in short,HHJ is all about the decision you make in growing healthy hair. To be able to do this, there are some practices you cease from doing that may cause damage to your hair. So,some facts that I think you should be aware of before starting this journey will be pointed out here.
1. Love your hair: Now that you have started HHJ,first thing you must do is to love your hair 100%. No matter how damaged it is. You just have to love it & that's when changes will occur. You ask how? By caring for it,pampering it like a baby, treat & handle it with love. Stop comparing your hair with other people, you will be discouraged. Understand what your hair loves and hates. What your hair needs & doesn't? Is your hair thin, full of build ups & dandruff,is it too short,it sheds, break, hairless hairline, dry, brittle, hard, etc? You just have to study your hair & stop ignoring it like it's not part of your body. Until you do this,I wonder
